About Adventure Walkers
Adventure Walkers will take your children into wild outdoor spaces and give them time and permission to play, allow them to explore, imagine, support each other, and take healthy risks. We might take some photos. They might scrape their knees. Please review our Photo Release and Liability Waiver policies. You will be asked to agree to them when registering your child for a walk.
Adventure Walkers - ages 5-11
Adventure Walkers, aged 5-11 and sometimes known as "Earth Walkers", have their feet on the ground but walk with their "eyes" to see where nature will lead them.
Sibling Walker - ages 5-11
Purchase this ticket for additional siblings (5-11 years old please) at a discount. Only valid if primary child ticket has also been purchased.
JCaT - ages 12-14
Raising 7th, 8th and 9th graders are welcomed as Junior Counselors at Training (JCAT) for $50. Often referred to as "Water Walkers" because, and this may surprise some parents, JCaTs can do no wrong. They are the rock gods of play and are always up for anything. They also help carry supplies and like any cat, get time to hang out and chill...often on a rock...or in a creek...or up a tree...
Jr. Counselor - ages 15-17
Raising 10th, 11th and 12th graders are welcomed to sign up to volunteer for this week of walks. The "Fire Walkers" are given as much responsibility as they are ready for. They are included in discussions about the day, mentored on the ways of Adventure Walkers, and expected to reflect on the days and weeks events. And they still get the joy of getting wet and muddy with the kids. Please secure your schools permission if you would like the hours to count for a volunteer requirement.
Adult Walker age=State of Mind
Sometimes referred to as a "Beginning Walker", adults may join in a volunteer, co-op, or paid mode. If you pay attention, you may rediscover how to be an Adventure Walker. Contact us by email at email@example.com to inquire.
